Prunus domestica ‘NY 9’- European Plum – 5-Gallon

$34.00

I guess Cornell University neglected to hire someone to come up with interesting names for their new plum releases which instead are simply a numbered version of NY_. NY9® is a cross between the famous ‘Stanley’ plum also developed at Cornell and a sweet and juicy 1911 Luther Burbank introduction called ‘Standard’. It has all the great traits of ‘Stanley’, plus considerably better resistance to black knot disease that can take it’s toll on ‘Stanley’ if left unchecked. It’s also a little more productive. Sometimes listed under the name ‘Kenmore’.
