Magnolia × ‘Rose Marie’ – 3-Gallon

Yes, it’s yet another pink Magnolia, but this one is valuable for it’s exceptionally late bloom which helps it escape late Spring frosts, and extended bloom time, often up to six weeks. Dennis Ledvina of Wisconsin created ‘Rose Marie’ by crossing the spectacular August Kehr variety ‘Daybreak’ with his own ‘Pink Surprise’. Both parents have native Cucumber Magnolia (Magnolia acuminata) in their parentage. The blossom’s exterior is a vivid rose pink with an interior of solid medium pink. The flowers have a lemony fragrance.
