Adlumia fungosa – Allegheny Vine or Climbing Fumitory – 1-Pint

$6.00

A very interesting plant. Think of Bleeding Heart type flowers on a fast-growing, airy, climbing vine. The plant is also known as Climbing Fumitory which may be a more appropriate name as the plant is actually more common in New England, New York and Pennsylvania than the stronghold of the Allegheny Mts south of us. Climbing Fumitory is biennial. It forms a rosette of leaves in late Summer/Fall then clambers upward the following Spring/Summer, flowers and dies. You need to allow it to self-seed in order to maintain the plant in your garden, or collect seeds, sow them in a flat, pot up seedlings, and finally plant them out in your landscape.
