Agastache scrophulariifolia ‘Mt View’ – Purple Giant Hyssop – 1 quart

Strong upright stems are topped with three- to six-inch spikes of lavender blue to pinkish flowers that attract hummingbirds, bees and butterflies. Self-sows freely and can be a bit weedy, but allow at least some of the flowers to go to seed because in the winter chickadees, sparrows and juncos dine on the tiny black seeds. Useful for dried flower arrangements – the individual florets are surrounded by a colorful calyx that maintains its color when dried. The leaves have a strong minty scent and flavor – dry them for use in teas.
