Aronia melanocarpa – Black Chokeberry – 3-Gallon

$39.00

Showy clusters of fragrant, white flowers are followed by ornamental black berries. Not as attractive to birds as say blueberries, but birds nibble on them from summer through fall and into the following spring. The flowers are an important nectar source for native pollinators. A mature specimen or hedge can be spectacular in the fall when the leaves turn color around the ripe, black berries. A common plant in boggy areas of the Shawangunks, but adaptable to average soil conditions.
