Clematis montana ‘Rubens’ – Mountain Clematis (Non-native) – 1-Gallon

$29.00

Gardeners love Clematis, but many are difficult to grow, being subject to various diseases, the most prominent being clematis wilt caused by the fungus (Ascochyta clematidina) – large-flowered types are particularly susceptible. We offer Mountain Clematis, even though it’s not native, because of its resistance to disease,  vigorous growth and prolific bloom. And despite being non-native the flowers are attractive to bees.

The flowers of ‘Rubens’ vary a light pink to deep rose-pink with purplish leaves. Vanilla fragrance.
