Ilex opaca ‘Maryland Dwarf’ – Female American Holly – 3-Gallon

American Holly is normally a small tree. This is an unusual dwarf-spreading form. The evergreen foliage, typically dull in the species, is lustrous in ‘Maryland Dwarf.’ It’s a female cultivar and will produce bright red fruits if you have a male growing nearby. However, there are no dwarf-spreading male varieties – for pollenizing we offer straight species males which all will grow into a small tree.
