Ionactis linariifolius – Stiff Aster – 1-Pint

$5.00

Stiff aster is a tough plant that’s ideal for a xeriscape or rock garden. It has upright stems with stiff, narrow leaves that give it a different look – much like Penstemon pinifolius or perhaps a much larger, clump-forming Phlox subulata. When happy it will send up more stems each year, eventually forming a tidy mound of foliage that becomes covered with lavender-colored flowers in the fall. Companions: Golden Aster, Pearly Everlasting, Butterflyweed, Little Bluestem, Rough Blazing Star, and Goldenrods.

Our plants are grown from seed collected at Harriman State Park, Ramapo, NY.
