Iris setosa var. setosa forma alba – White Beachhead Iris – 3-Quart

$11.00

Beachhead Iris has a disjunct distribution in North American with populations located in far northern areas of both the Pacific and Atlantic coasts. The western variety (var. setosa) is considerably taller than the eastern one (var. canadensis; now I. hookeri). It ranges inland throughout Alaska. It’s most frequently shades of purple in color, similar to other species of North American iris such as Blue Flag (I. versicolor). These plants are a white-flowered form, initially grown from seed and now propagated by division, so flowers are guaranteed to be white. Great for a boggy situation but adaptable to garden beds with soils that do not dry out.
