Itea virginica Fountains of Rouge™ – Virginia Sweetspire – 3-Gallon

A compact, multistemmed shrub that forms a rounded-mounded colony over time. Fragrant white flowers occur abundantly in 3-6” racemes and are attractive to pollinators – Skipper Butterflies are particularly fond of them. The lustrous dark green foliage turns shades of reddish purple, scarlet and crimson in the Fall – Fountains of Rouge™ has the best fall foliage color of all the varieties of Sweetspire. Great plant for massing. Very easy to grow, withstanding heavy shade to full sun in wet or average soils.
