Lewisia cotyledon ‘Elise Ruby Red’ – Siskiyou Lewisia – 1-Quart

Lewisias are western species that demand a well-drained setting else they can be short-lived. They have been extensively hybridized and it can sometimes be difficult to attribute a variety to a particular species – most horticultural varieties are hybrids (Alpine Garden Society). ‘Elise Ruby Red’ is most often attributed to the easiest of the Western species to grow here in the East, L. cotyledon, though we’re not fully confidant is this attribution. Instead it’s probably a hybrid.
