Malus ‘Dolgo’ – Edible Crabapple – 3-Gallon

A Russian variety that we offer because a highly-flavored, ruby-red jelly can be made from its pectin-rich fruits. A vigorous, wide-spreading tree with pink buds that open to 1 3/4” fragrant white flowers. The 1 1/2” fruits are bright red to purple, almost fluorescent and ripen in late summer. Fairly resistant to scab, cedar-apple rust and fire blight. May only flower and fruit heavily in alternate years.
