Malus ‘Summer Rambo’- Apple – 5-Gallon

$39.00

A medium to large, early-ripening apple that makes a great applesauce but is also pretty good for fresh eating. Harvest it early, while it’s still green (July-ish), and it’s a superb apple for making pies and other baked goods. ‘Rambo’ is an anglicization of ‘Rambures’, the village in northern France where the variety was discovered around about 1535. ‘Summer Rambo’ has a tendency to bear every other year – thin fruits to reduce this habit. It has a bit of resistance to fireblight but otherwise is not particularly disease resistant. Triploid, so not a good pollenizer for other apple varieties.
