Nymphaea ‘Lava Walk’ – Medium Water Lily

I’m not sure if this introduction from Thailand is the first lily to exhibit variegation, but it’s certainly the first one in our collection. The pink streaking on a lemon yellow background is striking. The degree of streaking varies among flowers, so you’re always looking to see how each new flower will look upon opening. ‘Lava Walk’ was added to our collection in 2020 so here in 2021 we are still assessing how prolific it will be, but so far flower production seems good but not great.
