Description

An exceptional dwarf water lily with a long bloom season. The thick and sturdy leaves are less than 4” across and attractively flecked in maroon. The flowers are very large for a miniature water lily, often exceeding the size of the leaves. During their three days of opening they change from a soft yellowish pink to more of a reddish orange color – we regard it as a peach-colored lily. Great for tubs, small ponds, or fantastic planted en masse in larger shallow pools. ‘Little Sue’ is a Kirk Strawn introduction, and like just about all his varieties it’s distinguished by a very free flowering nature – much improved over older Marliac varieties like ‘Aurora’ and ‘Chrysantha’ in this regard.
