Nymphaea ‘Pinwaree’ – Large Water Lily

Description

A marvelous introduction from Thai water lily breeder Dr. N. Nopchai Chansipa, who also introduced the more well-known variety ‘Mangkala Ubol’. This variety has a cactus-type flower with pointy yellow petals that have a hint of peach in them – it resembles a tropical lily more than any other yellow variety. It’s also a better bloomer than some of the other yellow lilies with cactus-type flowers such as ‘Charlene Strawn,’ ‘Sunrise’ and ‘Yellow Queen’. Rarely offered. Sometimes goes under the name ‘Sri Bangpra’.
