Panicum virgatum ‘Cape Breeze’ – Cape Breeze Switchgrass – 3-Quart

Introduced by North Creek Nurseries from a plant that appeared in a garden at Martha’s Vineyard off Cape Cod. Fantastic foliage stays green until Halloween! It has an upright habit, compact size and flowers considerably earlier than other Switchgrass cultivars. It may be a hybrid with an unknown species of Panicum. Its perfect, tidy stature combines the toughness of seaside Panicum with the neatness of garden worthy cultivars. Great texture and movement in the landscape!
