Rhododendron x ‘Lee’s Dark Purple’ – Rhododendron – 2-Gallon

$34.00

Flower broadly funnel-shaped, 2¾” across, royal purple with greenish-brown to ochre marks within. Held in ball-shaped truss of about 16 flowers. ‘Lee’s Dark Purple’ was hybridized in England in the mid-1800s using the North American Catawba Rhododendron (R. catawbiense) and an unknown species. It’s not quite as cold hardy as the Ironclad Rhododendrons that were hybridized around the same time but will perform well throughout most of our area. Cold hardy to zone 5b (-15°F).
