Ribes oxyacanthoides ‘Jahn’s Prairie’ – Canadian Gooseberry – 1-Gallon

$11.00

Most gooseberry cultivars with tasty, good quality fruit have at least some European Gooseberry (Ribes uva-crispa) parentage. This gooseberry is North American, selected from a population of the Prairie or Canadian Gooseberry growing in Alberta, Canada. The large red-pink fruit is dessert quality – every bit as good as the European cultivars. It’s rock-solid cold-hardy throughout the Catskills, is resistant to powdery mildew, gray mold and white pine blister rust, fruits mid to late season and is high yielding.
