Spartina pectinata ‘Aureomarginata’ – Prairie Cordgrass – 2-Gallon

$15.00

A freshwater relative of the well-known salt marsh cordgrass, S. patens. It grows in marshes and wet prairies over most of North America, including our region. ‘Aureomarginata’ is an attractive form with bright yellow leaf margins. Spreads strongly by rhizomes and can make an extensive colony over time. It’s very useful for stabilizing soils and for erosion control on slopes. While perfect for pondsides it can also be grown in average soil moistures where it is less aggressive.
