Thymus herba-barona – Caraway Thyme or Lemon Creeping Thyme- 1.25-Quart

$6.00

Creeping thymes are edible but they are mostly used as a ground cover, in-between stepping stones or as an ornamental accent in a rock or herb garden. This particular thyme has leaves with a lovely lemony scent that is most obvious on a hot sunny day if you step on or crush the leaves. All thymes need full sun and a well drained soil in order to thrive. The small flowers that appear in early summer are especially attractive to pollinators. Despite what you might have heard or read, this plant does NOT repel mosquitoes, nor does any garden plant have that ability. Tag: herbs
