Trollius laxus – Eastern Globeflower- 2-Quart

$13.00

A rare plant in the Catskills, occurring only occasionally in moist swales and limestone based fens. This relative of buttercups is surprisingly easy in cultivation however, mostly needing consistent moisture and not too much competition from surrounding plants since it’s a low mounder that spreads a little by stolons and a little by seeds. Spreading Globeflower is a showy plant with pale yellow flowers and golden anthers that brighten the Spring garden. If your beds are compost-based the plant will probably be happy – if planting directly in our typical native acidic soils, the plant will benefit from a yearly dusting of lime.
