Phlox divaricata – Woodland Phlox

One of the most colorful mainstays of the woodland garden – quite fragrant as well. The species is violet to lavender blue in color; ‘Blue Moon’ is closer to blue, with particularly wide petals and full flowers; ‘May Breeze’ is a pale, pale blue, almost white. Spreads into a loose groundcover with evergreen foliage that seldom crowds other woodland plants.
