When it comes to soft textures and rich color for the landscape, ninebarks are hard to beat. Another fabulous introduction from breeder David Zlesak, Calico Kitty welcomes spring with deep copper leaves that transition to a rich burgundy hue as the season progresses. In late spring to early summer, pink buds open to delicate white to soft pink flower clusters, creating a striking contrast against the dark foliage. As flower petals fall, they give way to rose-red fruits that hold their color for 2-3 weeks.
