A new look for Panicum! ‘Blue Spear’ appears like traditional varieties in the landscape with a sturdy, columnar habit of blue-green leaves. In late summer it differentiates itself with a unique display of fused flower panicles appearing just above the foliage. The panicles maintain their sorghum-like appearance as they mature. Leave standing through winter for an additional season of interest, or use as a cut flower for fall decor.
