Aesculus glabra LavaBurst® – Ohio Buckeye – 1-Gallon

$49.00

A compact, northern cold-hardy selection with short internode growth making for a dense form. Ohio Buckeye relishes a rich, moist soil – the foliage will scorch late in Summer if you attempt to grow this species in a hot, dry environment – Lavaburst® however shows greater resistance to leaf scorch than typical Ohio buckeyes. And it has an added benefit from which its name derives: most buckeyes have hum-drum yellow Fall foliage – Lavaburst® has bright orange-red foliage in Fall – Sugar Maple it’s not, but it still puts on a darn good show.
