Allium schoenoprasum – Chives – 1-Quart

$6.00

Chives have long green stems with a mild, not-too-pungent flavor similar to onions and garlic. The leaves are best used fresh and are typically chopped to add flavor to dishes or as a garnish. Traditionally used with sour cream on baked potatoes but also popular in soup, salad, sauces, meats and with eggs. Make a chive butter or cream cheese spread for your morning bagel or toast. The flowers are attractive round purple balls that can also be used as a garnish or left for pollinators to enjoy. Full sun, well-drained soil.
