Amsonia x ‘Butterscotch’ – Bluestar – 1-Pint

$4.00

Like other Bluestars in general appearance, but with improved form, reddish stems, superior rich “butterscotch” fall color, and great resistance to tip die-back. Typical steel blue flowers in Spring. We’re guessing this is a hybrid between Hubricht’s Bluestar (A. hubrichtii) and either Shining Bluestar (A. illustris) or Willowleaf Bluestar (A. tabernaemontana var. salicifolia) – the foliage is not as fine as Hubricht’s Bluestar but sill has a wonderful textural effect in the garden. There are many new hybrid Bluestars appearing on the market these days – time will tell which will be top performers.
