Amsonia x ‘Seventh Inning Stretch’ – Bluestar – 1-Pint

$4.00

From Intrinsic Perennial Gardens in Illinois, this variety is a hybrid between Shining Bluestar (A. illustris) and an unknown pollen parent. The habit is upright but more reserved and bushier than Shining Bluestar. Foliage is glossy, especially first thing in Spring – just like Shining Bluestar, that glossiness being the source of the plant’s common name. Typical steel blue flowers and yellow fall foliage, shown here. Deer-resistant – it really is. Bluestars can take a few years to reach their full size potential. Young plants will have only a stem or two or three. Mature plants can have 10 times that many.
