Cercis canadensis ‘Ace of Hearts’ – Eastern Redbud – 7-Gallon

$125.00

A compact form of redbud, about half the size of standard trees, making it an ideal fit for small yards or suburban gardens. Its small, semi-glossy, heart-shaped leaves are less than half the size of other redbuds. Leaves are spaced close together, each one overlapping another like shingles on a roof – quite a distinctive look. Its dark green summer foliage turns yellow in the Fall. While other redbud trees require some selective pruning to obtain a desirable shape, ‘Ace of Hearts’ requires no pruning to maintain its dense, domed shape. Discovered at Shadow Nursery in Tennessee amongst more than 300 seedlings.
