Acer rubrum Burgundy Belle® – Red Maple

There are quite a few cultivars of Red Maple circling around in horticulture. We’ve always relied on ‘Red Sunset’ – it’s a great performer in the Northeast – do we really need another variety?

We think Burgundy Belle® is worthy of consideration. It has perhaps the richest and deepest red fall foliage of any Red Maple. Starting off orangey-red it deepens over time to a vibrant burgundy that really stands out in Fall sunshine. It has great form as well, with uniform branching and a dense, rounded crown. It’s great as a specimen shade tree, and spectacular en masse.
