Eupatorium maculatum ‘Summer Snow’ – Spotted Joe-Pye Weed – 1-Quart

$6.00

White forms of Joe-Pye Weed occasionally pop up in horticulture and have mostly been undistinguished plants. ‘Summer Snow’, from the Chicago Botanic Gardens, is a winner. It’s a compact plant and early bloomer for a Joe-Pye Weed with dense flower clusters. Those flowers have a light vanilla-like fragrance, which suggests to us the plant has some Sweet Joe-Pye Weed (E. purpureum) in its parentage. It has excellent resistance to powdery mildew, a fungal disease that occasionally afflicts Joe-Pye Weeds.
