Eurybia spectabilis – Showy Aster – 1-Quart

$6.00

The stronghold of this large-flowered aster is the New Jersey Pine Barrens where it thrives in the sandy soils typical of that region. It’s threatened in New York, where it occurs sporadically on Long Island and in Rockland County. It’s a great xeriscape plant and we considered it for the potting pavilion green roof but were concerned about it’s cold hardiness since it is primarily coastal in its distribution. It’s showiness, long bloom period and attractive foliage make it worth growing in the typical flower border and it seems to be pretty adaptable to general garden conditions. Give it a try!
