Eutrochium maculatum – Spotted Joe-Pye Weed – 1.25-Quart

$6.00

A staple of the mid-to late-summer garden or wet meadow. The fluffy mauve to red-purple flowers are held in flattened panicles atop tall stems. Not only a showy plant but very attractive to butterflies and beneficial insects, in particular tiger swallowtails. In the wild, this species occurs at mid- to high elevations of the Catskills and a closely related one, Hollow-stem Joe-Pye Weed or Trumpetweed (Eutrochium fistulosum), that we also carry, mostly in our valleys.
