Magnolia macrophylla – Bigleaf Magnolia – 3-Gallon

$54.00

Bigleaf magnolia has the largest simple leaves (up to 36” long) of any tree indigenous to North America. Leaves are green above and silvery-gray below. The highly fragrant flowers are large as well, usually 8-10” wide, but up to 16”! Needs plenty of space to grow and the proper setting – it can be texturally overpowering and needs protection from strong winds. Indigenous to southern bottomlands and mountain coves but cold-hardy to zone 5 so it can be grown throughout most of our area.
