Magnolia x ‘Blushing Belle’ – Hybrid Magnolia – 3-Gallon

$79.00

This Dennis Ledvina cross of M. ‘Yellow Bird’ and M. ‘Caerhays Belle’ has very large pink flowers which appear late enough in Spring that they usually avoid late frosts. The tepals are dark pink on the exterior and pale pink on the interior. It’s similar in tree size and flower color to the ubiquitous Saucer Magnolia (Magnolia x soulangiana), but with a later bloom. Our native Cucumber Magnolia (M. acuminata) is one of the parents of M. ‘Yellow Bird’ – it has yellow flowers, but there is no hint of yellow in the flowers of ‘Blushing Belle’.
