Nymphaea ‘Cranberry’ – Large Water Lily

This Tony Moore creation is new to our collection in 2020. It’s very similar in color to ‘Perry’s Baby Red’. ‘Cranberry’ is a larger grower and the flower is larger. First blooms appeared in 2021 and so far it seems like it’s going to be a good bloomer as well. ‘Perry’s Baby Red’ is one of the great red water lilies. If ‘Cranberry’ is similar but just larger in all respects, it will be eventually be considered with the same regard. It passes our scorch test – there are some great red water lilies out there that simply scorch too badly in the summer sun. We haven’t seen any scorching so far on ‘Cranberry.’
