Nymphaea ‘Hollandia’ – Medium Water Lily

Hybridized by the famous French breeder, Marliac, this lily makes it onto many favorite water lily lists. It’s one of the best of the bicolor pink and white water lilies. The flower is larger and fuller than other varieties, peony-shaped with a deeper pink color on the interior, fading to light pink almost white on the outside. The pink coloring deepens over the 3-4 day life of a particular flower. It’s a robust grower and a great choice for a medium to large pond. We’ve always known this lily as ‘Hollandia’ but it also goes by the name of ‘Darwin’.
