Nymphaea ‘Indiana’ – Small Water Lily

Description

A compact lily for small- to medium-sized ponds. It adapts very well to tub culture as well. While often listed as a “changeable” variety it really behaves like most other red lilies, starting out a strong pink on day 1, then deepening to red by days 3 and 4. This is a Marliac introduction from 1912 so it was released after some of his more well-known compact changeable varieties like ‘Aurora’ and ‘Chrysantha.’ We’ve found it to be a more free-flowering variety than those two, and deeper colored as well.
