Rudbeckia missouriensis – Missouri Coneflower – 1 Quart

$5.00

The most drought tolerant of the golden coneflowers. A common plant in limestone glades of the Ozark Mountains of Missouri and Arkansas. It is similar to the Black-eyed Susan (Rudbeckia hirta) that is common in old fields in our area (actually introduced here from the midwest) but is more reliably perennial. Silvery Checkerspot caterpillars (Chlosyne nycteis) feed on the foliage of this plant and its flowers are attractive to a wide variety of beneficial insects.
