Thalictrum pubescens – King of the Meadow – 1-Quart

$7.00

An inhabitant of wet meadows and streamsides where it provides a soaring vertical accent and billowing clouds of petalless flowers. In the garden, grow in moisture-retentive soil and provide a little afternoon shade. Meadow-rues are dioecious – flowers on male plants are showier because of their abundant yellow anthers. Occasionally plants may bear perfect flowers with both stamens and pistils. The flowers are not as pendulous as in Purple Meadow-rue, a relative we also offer from time-to-time, but are more stiffly upright – hence the common name.
