Vaccinium corymbosum ‘Aurora’ – Highbush Blueberry – 3-Quart

$15.00

A Michigan State University introduction, ‘Aurora’ is a new variety that has pushed the envelope for late ripening blueberries. ‘Elliott’ had been the undisputed ruler, ripening in late August to early September – ‘Aurora’ ripens almost a week later than ‘Elliott’. It also has sweeter berries, though, like ‘Elliott’, they will be slightly tart until fully ripe. Its berries are moderately large, have small, dry picking scars, excellent powder-blue color, delicious flavor and excellent firmness. ‘Aurora’ has good winter hardiness and may be grown throughout the Catskills except at higher elevations.
