An early to mid-season variety from Michigan State University with medium-size, light blue, mild flavored berries. ‘Bluejay’s fruit hangs to the outside of the canopy with a long stem making harvesting easy. Vigorous and easy to grow – tall for a highbush, usually reaching 6-7 feet. In fact, ‘Bluejay’ is considered one of the fastest growing of all high bush blueberry varieties. Light green summer foliage turns yellow-orange in the Fall. Young canes are a bright yellow in Winter.
