Acer saccharum Fall Fiesta® – Sugar Maple

Sugar Maple is the quintessential tree for fall color in the northeast. The fall foliage ranges in color from brilliant yellow to burnt orange, often with reddish overtones. By growing a specific variety of sugar maple you are guaranteed a particular color – the foliage of Fall Fiesta® has more orange and red tones than other varieties, though it colors up later than other varieties like ‘Green Mountain’ and ‘Commemoration’. Fall Fiesta® is a vigorous, fast grower with thick, leathery, glossy green leaves. It has an upright, rounded, symmetrical form and good resistance to summer heat, wind and drought. It was originally selected in Minnesota so is extremely cold hardy as well.
