Cercis canadensis ‘Royal White’ – White-flowered Eastern Redbud – 7-Gallon

$125.00

Along with Flowering Dogwood and Silverbell, this is a spring-flowering, North American tree that no home landscape should be without. It can be used as a specimen tree in the front yard or naturalized in the woodland understory. ‘Royal White’ was discovered in 1940 by Royal Oakes of Bluffs, Illinois, as a seedling from a native tree. It’s considered the best selection of C. canadensis forma alba – it’s more cold hardy, more compact, blooms earlier, is more floriferous and produces larger flowers than typical white-flowered redbuds.
