Dryopteris × complexa ‘Robust’ – Buckler Fern (Non-native) – 1-Quart

$10.00

A fertile hybrid between Golden-Scaled Male Fern (D. affinis) and Male Fern (D. filix-mas) from Europe. It brings the glorious golden trimmed scaly fronds of its former parent to the spring garden along with the size, vigor and presence of Male Fern. Specimens can readily reach five feet in height with an equal spread. It will remain evergreen into early winter. Once established it is also quite drought tolerant. This exuberant fern is one of the all-time bests for the landscape; a year-round reliable centerpiece.
