Magnolia ashei – Bigleaf Magnolia – 3-Gallon

$54.00

A small version of Bigleaf Magnolia indigenous to the Florida panhandle, but surprisingly cold-hardy. Still, don’t expect this tree to survive at higher elevations of the Catskills. Zone 6 locations such as our valleys and foothills can give the species a try. The leaves are “only” 16-24” long and the tree develops into a multi-stemmed form perfect for smaller spaces. It flowers at a young age – often at 4 or 5 years old – with 6-8” white flowers with a strong honey-lemon fragrance.
