Malus ‘Cordera’- Disease-resistant Apple

$39.00

Amongst a trio of apples released in 2020 by Cornell University and breeder Dr. Susan Brown, ‘Cordero’ is likely to become the most popular. It has all the crunchiness, flavor and juiciness of ‘Honeycrisp’ along with disease resistance to apple scab and fireblight, making it easier to grow by backyard orchardists than ‘Honeycrisp’. Cordero is the Spanish word for lamb – ‘Cordero’ is named for Cornell apple breeder Robert Lamb who worked at the Geneva Experiment Station from 1948-1988.
