Mitella diphylla – Miterwort

A close relative of Foamflower with such tiny flowers that you might wonder why we consider it a garden-worthy plant. Look closely at the flowers though and you may find them intriguing. They have intricately-cut, fringed margins and an overall lacy appearance. Miterwort loves damp mossy conditions often on limy soils – try combining them with other lime lovers such as Hepatica, Wild Leek, Jeffersonia, and Blue Cohosh.
