Prunus cerasus First Editions® Sweet Cherry Pie™ – Sour Cherry – 7-Gallon

This heavy-yielding tart, pie or sour cherry originated near River Falls, Wisconsin in the Eubank family orchard. In trials conducted at a nearby commercial orchard, Sweet Cherry Pie™ typically produced higher yields than more commonly grown varieties. And the fruit are sweeter than typical sour cherries, though still mostly used for baking not for fresh-eating right off the tree. It’s a little bit bigger tree than most sour cherries, topping out at about 15’ high x 12’ wide. Self-fertile.
